Continue From Everything Counts As Experience...

After my school days over, I can grab overtime and part time job on most of the days and Sundays, if I don’t have company job. One of my boss brother was own the another the company and when he need the job to complete, he always call us to help him. Sometime fabrication job and installation job. Most of the job are very high risk and dirty job.

I remember one job was need to replace gantry crane to install for them. Crane capacity was very small but it was very high and cannot do any mistake, because factory was running 24 hours. The beam was so big and heavy, it was 12 inches I beam and around 10M long. We was struggle for installation because we have lack of tools, accessories and manpower. We are very tired and work until completed installation at 8.00PM on Sunday. And we only get $50 each for the long day.

One of the other job was at pig killing factory. They require to repair the boiler furnaces refectory materials, so we thought that such an easy job. For the spare materials was less than 200 kg to replace, after we arrive the place we disappointed over for our easy accept the job. The furnaces was just to burn the pig body that die with diseases. Factory was smell like pig shit.

The furnaces was very narrow and very difficult to enter into the damage area, because they don't want to open the top cover and we need to slide in from scoping area.The size of manhole was 2 feet by 2 feet only, so we decided to push the person when the laying down position. After a few minutes of work need to pull back from the leg. It was so cramping and all the dust and cement are always drop into eyes. We replace the plastic materials with manual hummer to stick with upside down position. I believe that two of my friends will also not forget for this experiences. And also we get $50 each for the day.

Another job we did for our friend’s relative house to paint for them. They brought the second hand house and need to paint before they move in. so they called our friend for help, our friend came and ask to help them, we agree with him and we four of us went there and paint the house. All the tools and accessories they brought and wait for us to do the job. We cover all the unwanted parts with newspaper to protect from the paint for around 2 hours and we began to paint.

The problem was they wanted to paint different colour for the celling with the wall, it was took extra hour to wait other paint to dry. We was become frustrated with our friend and said to him that, “we just come and help”, “how come they so fussy?” but I told them that we already started the job, if we not happy also we have to complete the job. We complete the job at around 5PM, but the owner give us $200, but refuse to accept and return them. They said “it is for appreciating for our help” and give it to our friend. He gives us a share after we reached home.

All the part time job was not smooth, because they know that we are doing illegal work for income. And another thig was, we cannot compline to any one for any issue. Some time we do home mover for our friend’s house, when we are doing this we need vehicle to do, sometime we can get the lorry from our friend and company. But it was not often to us, that why we can easy to get vehicle from friends and company. We don’t take any money but we drink after the moving house.

After our boss found out he warn us not to do, because of insurance coverage was not cover for us in case anything happen. We did not do any part time job anymore and just we enjoyed our self for our off days.
