Continue From "Darkness Inside Still Have Hope...."

I fold the letter properly and put inside envelop nicely practice myself to give a resignation letter to the second boss. And preparing how to talk to them nicely although I don’t like them. Thousands of idea with the happy mood. On Monday, after changing pass for the entry to the plant and taking my breakfast and waiting for Mr. Boss to come.

When he come as usual long face and questioning non sense, after he finish, I pass him an envelope to him so he ask me what is the envelope for? So I answer you can read yourself or pass to admin lady. So he put inside his vehicle and went back after tools box meeting. Around 10 am I get a call from him that why I summit a resignation letter?

Then I said “I want to go back to my country to get a break”. And he still ask me am I not happy with them to work together? Or Who am I not happy with? So I answer, I happy to work with everyone.

So the big boss call me to meet up with him for what’s happening with me? I don’t give any reasonable answer and any request or demand and let it be for the letter. But I still have to serve to the company prior to the notice of 1 month after summit resignation letter.

From the day onwards, I feel much better and I start to enjoy myself. I work as usual for everyday before I leave and no one know that I summit resign letter, only my friend from company (NLD) know about where I am going. Sometimes we plan to meet outside and have a chat. He was quite active in charity work to help society. So, we met each other very rarely because of his schedule and mine.

During that time, my new company has process for applying my work pass. At that time the candidate also can check via phone. Its that they apply and the status of the process. So, after 1 week I check my work pass process, the status was under processing as usual. But about 2 weeks later I can hear the voice from the phone that application was rejected.

I am shock and I don’t know what to do. I feel like I wanted to cry, from this current company, I already summited resign letter and another 2 weeks more to stay only. And now new company application was rejected and I start to worry and again I can not do anything but one thing for sure is I won’t be staying with this company, I have decided and look for another job if I can’t join new company.

On the third week, the HR officer from Natsteel call me that my application was rejected because of they made some mistake while they are applying that’s why the application was rejected and not to worry for the application and they will appeal for their mistake. End of the third week the application was approved by MOM, while I am listening via phone.

I am so happy and I told my girlfriend that my application was approved so that I need to start the new job soon.

On the fourth week, on Tuesday, HR officer called me that I can start work anytime when I am ready to report to them.

So I answer them that I will come and report next week Monday. I call to my current company to cancel my work pass on Thursday so that the process will finish on Friday. The admin lady do according to what I say and the cancelling process was smooth.

In Singapore if you apply anything, it will take times to complete the process and to know the result. We need to keep on chasing them to get to know the status but to cancel the application or status was so easy and fast. As well as if you need to pay Fees or Fine, you have to pay within permitted time.

If you not pay, the consequences will be very high and not worth it. But if you want to claim back anything from others it will take such a long time to finish the process. I think it was not only in Singapore.
