When You Have All You Desire, What Next?

Many times in life we are motivated by the things we want and desire. We want money, cars, houses, awards, medal, achievements etc, but have we stopped for a moment to ask, what if we wake up tomorrow and see all that we always desire at our door step, then what next? Its fact that for a moment, we will feel happy and excited, but as days pass by, this question will surely creep in... What's next now?

The simple answer to this question is "We will want more". I remember when i was still a kid, i'd always say to myself, " If i grow up to be an adult, i will buy so much Ice creams for myself, i will buy lots of buiscuit for myself". As i grew older, i keep saying to myself, when i get an android phone or even a laptop, i'd download and play all the games on playstore. But now, i have all that now yet i don't play so much games or eat that much biscuits.

Now all that don't mean so much anymore, as i start desiring new things... Lambougini, designer cloths, classy girls, good paying Jobs etc. This is the same reason why people turn bad, for example People with abilities in movies like Tarus. When they get to that point when they realize they can do anything things they never knew they could do, they start wanting more. They want more powers for them self. They want to be feared, they want to be heard of and they want to be Gods. This in turn becomes thier bane and weak point.

Society has a way of telling us what we should be aiming for and what we should be doing at the different stages of our life through expectations. Time to get start high school, time for college, time to get a job, time to get married, time to buy house etc. There is this void and emptiness we feel when we don't meet up to the expectations. The fear of being a failure in the eyes of people makes the quest to do these things that is expected of us becomes a motivation.

But is this what life is all about? I mean whats the whole point in life? Just keep ourselves busy, follow the pattern just get old and die. If thats it, then there is really no point in life. You know this is the major reason why people commit suicide. Depression sets in when you can't find meaning in life anymore, when you feel like there isn't a point in living, when you start feeling empty, when you start asking questions like this.

If the point in life is doing all the things required of us in this order of... High school, college, house, job, car, marriage etc till i get old and die. Then there is no point going through the process, instead i should just skip to the end by killing myself and getting its all over with. Hmmm. I don't know, this is whats on my mind at this point and i wanna share. Please i'd like to hear what you think about this... Thanks.
