5 Tips That Might Save Your Life One Day
SOURCE
FIRST, if you have been involved in a car accident or you are in an area where a bomb have exploded and you see the mediacal team on the site. DO NOT start screaming "Help me! Help Me!" because this will delay the medical team personnels arond from attending to you. They will first attend to people lying down or sitting down who can't talk or scream because they are likely the ones in Critical Conditions.
SECOND, if you have been stabbed with an object, lets say a dagger, and the object wasn't pulled out by the stabber, you are lucky. DO NOT pull the object you have been stabbed with from your body because you stand a chance of bleeding out before you get help. Apart from this, pulling out the object you have been stabbed with might cause further complications. Always let the doctor pull the object out.
THIRD, Always scan around the room or building when you attend a party, or even a church/mosque or anywhere with large population. What you are looking for is at least 2 or 3 alternative exits apart from the main enterance. Areas with large populations are always prone to attacks and when the attack starts, people will go for the main enterance causing a stampede. Being aware of the 2 alternative exits before the attack will increase your chance of survival.
FOURTH, have you heard of the Bystander Effect? Assuming you saw a group of people clustered in an area and someone there is asking for help, will you rush immediately to help? The answer is likely NO because in your mind, you will be wondering why other bystanders around didnt help before you came. Next time you need help in an open space, DO NOT scream for help, instead call out for help to one particular person. Others might even join in urging him to help you.
FIFTH, Except you are a registered journalist or an authorizied photographer, DO NOT go about taking pictures of military properties and installments. Not just that, DO NOT take pictures or make videos of military vehicles whether moving or packed. DO NOT take pictures of military officers or personnels without their permissions. You can easily be considered a spy and treated as such. Especcially if you are from Nigeria or other African countries because these guys don't ask questions. Just stay away from military properties, and save yourself some beatings.
I was inspired to write this after watching 1000 Ways To Die. I love the show. You can tell us what you think about these tips. And also tell us if you've been in any of these situations before and what your expirience was like.
