This is a picture of my 5th great grandmother. Her name was Cornblossom. She was the daughter of a Cherokee chief named Doublehead who was kind of an asshole, but whatever.

Calling her "Princess" seems insulting to me, but many people call her that. She died wounded after a battle with white settlers (thieves) just a few hours from here.
I know some of you are living in terrible countries fraught with violence and sorrow, and steem means dinner on your table and bills being paid. I get that and I feel for you, truly.
And some people in perfectly stable countries need steem for food on the table. I understand those worries as well. But I'm seeing those people complaining less than anyone.
Explain to me how that comes to be? Privilege yields obliviousness. Time to open your eyes.

You said a lot with a few words, because to focus on staying at balance is a very powerful aim. And it was beautiful hearing a bit about one of your ancestors.
I think what I find most unhelpful in times like these is unpointed criticism, because it shows you are upset but doesn't propose any sort of solution.
That's because suffering is a teacher, it shows us real gratitude for life. It broadens our perspective, so we can glean the beauty of strife.
