How to destroy an ecosystem

Not to be a fatalist, but recently I've noticed an uptick on the amount of animal as well as insect die offs. This prompted me to do a bit of research on the condition of our planet. I have been aware of chem-trails and weather modifications projects for years. I don't see myself as a conspiracy theorist but possibly a person whom looks at earth changes on a common sense basis.

Some empirical data to start. The science journal PLoS has documented a 75% decrease in insect biomass over rural Germany in the last 27 years. Also for the past few years there were many reports on bee die offs and colony collapse. There has been reports as to massive fish die offs as well as a rising number of whale deaths.

So who cares about bees and insects. Considering that they account for about 80% if wild plant pollination as well as domestic plants their decline will result in a large reduction in our crop harvest. An alternative would be to hand pollinate. Can you imaging how vegetable cost will increase if all plants required humans to hand pollinate them? I will venture a guess that cost will at least double.

Now what is the effect of the fish die off. It has been estimated that approximately 6.7% of all protein consumption is derived from fish. 6.7% does not sound too significant until we equate this into a per person intake. This equates to 17 kilograms (about 38 lbs).

Add to the projected decrease in foodstuff, the growing population (earth population is about 7.6 billion currently) and is projected to be 8 billion in 2025.

In summation, how to feed an increasing population on a decreasing food supply.

It's all the chemical pesticides that's killing all the insects which pollinate the plants. Humans are dumb.

I think you're right about that. Thanks for your comment.

I wish a professional analyst would do a study on the chemicals in the air, soil, and water of a region compared to many other regions then see if there is a correlation in the various factors and their commonalities in degree of contamination. Would be interesting and have zero funding lol
