Aged and Strong
Today i decided to work to store instead of my usual driving or using a motorcycle. On my way, i saw one of the oldest man in our locality overall 90years of age sweeping his compound. He was using the outside broom made from some stubborn grass to sweep and i am sure this broom might have been made by him.
I watched him as he swept in a uniform line from one end to the other. Watching in amazement, i decided to take a few photograph of the action to share with you guys. The compound is so neat and wow...i am still surprised that in his age he still has the strength to do this daily. 
But i discovered that this is his usual from his early age. He has grown up doing this and this may be his usual exercise that has kept him strengthened and strong. He sees well, speaks well and walks well. This is a good way to age. Life has a way of giving you back everything and more that you have put into it.

Use it or lose it is what I have always have been told. My great grandfather lived, walked and did his farm chores until 101. He died in his sleep peaceful on his birthday. The couple who sold us our homestead, were in their 90's still running their other farm and he was still driving his truck. They came to see us after we bought our homestead to give a couple of pictures of when they lived here and wish us good luck.
Anyways homesteading is the life for us, and thanks again for the great post.
