The fairy tale of old time that did not want to leave

The old time did not want to leave.
He had strongly seaten in his armchair and he did not say to stand up.
However the day of change was near and the world (that he had bored him) persisted to moan :

“He's got to leave at last! … Go and never return!”

The old time stabborned.
“I will seat here more they like it or not… You hear them measure the days until they unload me!”

It had teased him too much. It could not occupy what touched to them and they were in a hurry so much for his leave. They were all so much cheerful when they had welcomed him…
“Good Year!”
they wished the one in the other.
“With health!”
“Happiness and love!”
“Peace!”
The young person - then - time heard that beautiful wishes and boasted. It felt happy, seeing the world celebrating his arrival. And now? …
“I will not leave my chair!”
he decided all nerves.


“But, father,why don't you stop being stubborn and leave me in your place in order to make my work? ” protested the new time that in a few days should have replaced him.
The old time did not mean to be convinced. Something needed still to be done, he said, only that he had still not found what precisely was this…

“But you must find it fast, because I cannot wait you for eternally!” insisted his candidate substitute.

“I will find it… I will find it…” murmured the old time, burrowing with labour the memory (was not so young person)…
He believed however that something very important had forgotten and should remember it once again before he was forced to abandon his post. The old time, you see, he wanted his leaves with glory and price. No chased and outcast like there were no fraud!
And because - no matter how much he tried - he did not remember any offence that should correct, he finally thought to be consulted from his collaborators. He called the eleven passed months (with December of that he was still service…) and said they make a deliberation.

“What was the problem? ” he asked them somehow annoyed “What have we done to them? Why they want so much from us to leave? ”

“Problem? …” wondered January “I - if you want to know - did not make any mistake! I entered with my cold in a side of planet, with my heat in the other. Brought winter from sees, summertime from there. And reminded in the persons all that exist in order to they are glad each time where visits them the month January.”

“I did not see them very thanked…” observed the handicapped month February “… There were you brought cold they are frozen. Pile homelesses died from the frost, and were also other where got frozen in their houses.”

“Only the summertime can the persons be thanked!” declared with pride June (therefor he was the first summer month).
Summer July and – also summer August they agree in a hurry. They had, moreover, a lot of reasons in order to they make him.

“The summertime…” said cocksure August “… in the brain of children has been identified with the jauntiness!”

Unfortunately, September did not have any supplies in order to competes his “carefree” colleague. However the New Year's day came running, and the new time pressed him to finish…

“Which fly in has stinged? ” it bickered benevolent, in order that they front make the adult children, in the whims of their old parents.
However, the old time still delayed. He was decided to put him under.Therefore he got the reasoning from the start… When he was new, all received him with joy and with a lot of expectations for the future. Twelve almost months passed from then and one million things happened in the life of persons. Were there things beautiful or ugly? … And those wishes for health, happiness, love, peace… what happened to them?
They were realised by no means? …
No very, nor for many!

As long as his advisers fighting (admitting each one bad moves…), Old-time understood that the year of many persons did not have gone so much well. There were months to be blaimed? … He tried to remember all that became in the world from then that took the place of his predecessor.
Many been born in this space and many had died. The miserables were more from happy and the beloved less from solitary. New wars burst out on the planet and the persons had left the few to exploit the many. However, his own year did not have gone more badly from previous… Why therefore they didn't want neither to know him?

“Because they search answers for their life in the wrong place” said impatiently the new time (where he was afraid that with his father's moves he can lost the deadline).

“I do not understand, What are you talking about? And what part is correct? ”

“Their life itself of course!”

The old time was perplexed. If it was “natural”, then how it can it be and they don't understand him? …
“I said "naturally “… I did not said “easily”! ” observed the young person “If you do not know the blameable of your infelicity, you often accuse someone else. Often the most improbable. Thus you can burst out your nerves without make anything.”

The father admired wisdom of son.

“My child, when you anticipated, so much young person, to become already so much wise? …”


“But it is not that my own wisdom…”

“And whose is!”

“Yours! But not only yours. It is wisdom of all previous years that passed before you and left. Actually, it is wisdom of all persons that has passed and left… moreover, if persons did not exist, there would not exist the significance of time. Do not worry therefore because this is always done. Wisdom continues existing, even when you believe that it was lost. You do not remember that anymore, however what you knew passed in me! But also my own wisdom will pass in the next time, when he comes to replace me…”

Once again Old-father admired the reasons of young son. It appearred to him unthinkable that, sometimes, he was thinking like him!

“Hence, the good wishes are useless!” said, telling to myself, the old time “After only the persons can correct own their lives, they do not need wishes…”

“However they have! With the wishes, the persons remind the one in the other which are the things that deserve in their life. And that they should try the entire new year, if they want to bring more near a future where the wishes of all and no few might be realised…”

With his last reasons, the days of month December were saved. The old time - acquiring once again for a moment all wisdom of persons and years that passed smiled. Later he faded and extinguished. The new time, bright and all ready, took his place in the life of persons.
