PRACTICE THE PAUSE

Today a friend shared with me the importance of taking a pause at appropriate periods in one's life. Never act in rush, most of the time, anger, for instance has a tendency to cloud our judgement. Decisions Made during these moments are often the ones we live to regret. Not just anger, when in doubt, take a pause, when tired, take a pause, when you feel stressed, pause. And in all these instances, always remember to say a prayer. 

Sometimes a short break is all we need to get back on on our feet or as someone will say, get our shit together. A pause affords us an opportunity to carefully think out our plans and intentions, as well as assess them to see if they are the best moves to make under the circumstance. A wise man once said, when angered, give yourself 24 hours to react. If you do not feel like reacting after 24 hours, then it probably wasn't worth reacting to in the first place. 

Taking a pause when tired or stressed is equally important. Our brains are like machines, you over work it and it breaks down. Allowing ur mind to rest can help you pick up missing pieces you have previously over looked.

Well said. Sometimes it’s tough to move forward with the same perspective in life as it limits our imagination and thinking ability and we can’t look beyond what we can already see. Treating oneself with a break doesn’t always imply giving up. It means one is preparing himself for the better things to happen by getting a new perspective.
