As fall turns to winter along the shores of Canada’s Hudson Bay, the energy of these great arctic nomads increases. They know that they will soon be out on the winter sea ice gorging on seals. Subordinate males like these fellas stand up and engage in mock battle or play-fighting. It will be a few years before they truly do battle for the right to breed during the spring months.
