Baba Barfani or Baba AmarNath is Lord Shiva, located at an impressive altitude of 3888m, from the sea level and 141km from capital city of Srinagar, this cave temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

This place is totally naturally made and The cave enshrines a lingam which is naturally formed of an ice stalagmite. This is the holiest place among the all Lord Shiva Temples. The cave is fully covered by snow only except for a short period in summer when it becomes accessible to pilgrims.

This is the holly place for Hindus community and for that short period of time, millions of devotees from not only India but around the world undertake a challenging journey to Amarnath every year to get Darshana and offer their prayers to Baba Barfani. This journey is beryl tough and full of natural sight seeings and also very dangerous, It is one of the most fascinating temples of India. Every Hindu has a wish to come here atleast one time in his entire life.
