I Feel You

When I wake up I feel you.

I have avoided you but here you are...Inevitable.

I do not fear you...but I hate you.

You have been calling me, whispering.

I hear your footsteps...relentless.

That deep dark pit of nothingness.

Do not fear you say...it will soon be over.

I surrender, but before I do I will look at the stars.

I will look at the eyes of those who see me.

Then I will fade away.
