Today I just like to write about habits as this has been a major topic of discussion around me lately. Let me start by saying that its a behavioural pattern developed over a particular period and now occurs subconsciously. How something you started maybe like a joke has turned into an automated action. Interesting right? 

It's a fixed way of thinking which is formed from consistent practice from the past. New behaviours can turn to habits through consistent practice. 


Formation: This is into three parts. The cue, behaviour and reward. 

The cue is what trigger the interest of habit formation. This occurs in the mind. That thing that makes you want to smoke, bite nails and bang the head. 


The behaviour is carrying out this behavioural pattern which can either be helpful or harmful. The habit of exercising regularly can lead to other behavioural adjustments such as feeding habit. 


Goal: The goal to look good could lead to the use of certain cosmetic materials to look good. And the goal behind whatever you do as a human is vital in determining why you did it. Bad habits are undesirable behavioural patterns. Such include procrastination, nail biting, overspending and smoking.
