RE: The Anti-social way of Socializing in Asia. 透过KTV看亚洲和欧美国家的文化差异。

What has happened to the friend @fishyontherun that you introduced to steemit? She seems to have completely stopped posting. Are you still socializing with her? Steemit does not seem to be catching on in China as quickly as some of us had hoped. Are there any restrictions to accessing steemit.com?

Hi @onceuponatime thanks for dropping by! Me and @fishyontherun are still very well! She hasn't posted in a while because of her work commitments, but I think she still has every intention of using steemit. I will encourage her to be more active :)

You are right about steemit having difficulty getting traction in China though. Whilst steemit.com itself is not restricted, facebook is blocked and is only accessible to people who know how to use VPN. Reddit is pretty much unused in China so nobody will have an account with reputation. These are just superficial reasons of course.

Aside from better account creation options such as QQ , Wechat or even Weibo, I think a localised version of steemit with all frontend translated to chinese + cn as default feed may help. It might even be useful to show a RMB value beside the dollar value. (RMB values would be larger and subconsciously feel like a larger sum of money).
