I Wonder What It Takes To Be So Much Respectable
Respect is not something that anyone can find or just receive. Rather, we can only earn it for ourselves. It is therefore a mistake for someone to start looking for respect where it can't be found.
As a result, it is essential that we know what are those things that can be done to get much respect for ourselves. Without beating around the bush, I am highlighting some major ways that I think people can trace to get some respect.
For instance, you can earn for yourself reputation or respect if these lines are maintained. I take them one after another:
Keeping of promises. Wow! If you are someone who hardly fulfil promises made for someone, obviously, you're trading your reputation for popcorn. At any point in time that you break a promise, you directly break the person's heart and betray their trust.
Always tell the truth. Telling lies can be sweet until you discover what you are actually losing at end of the day. You may be enjoying your fake life until you discover what you have been reduced to. The major way to earn respect is to always say the truth. Even, when you feel embarrassed saying it.
Don't say yes to everything. Don’t feel embarrassed when you control yourself to say no once in a while. You may truly lose an opportunity when you do it, but it is retains your reputation. Don't ever agree to all things someone asks from you. Saying yes to everything may mean that you don't have self respect. When you have absolutely no self respect for yourself, no one will respects you. When you objection to a request, it means you are courageous to face anything.
Don't gossip If you are someone who gossip here and there, your honor is at stake. It doesn't only withdraw your reputation but also dangerous for you. You may end up in trouble just by saying what doesn't concern you anyway.
Mind your kindness level: that you are kind should be excuse for you to become too nice. When you're too nice, people may even start suspecting you that you may be a fake person.
Honestly, these among others are what we really need to earn some respect for ourselves. It is not inherited nor bought but earned through many means.
