How can this happen on live TV ?

Just seconds after he drink poison a judge upheld his 20-year prison sentence.
Shocking images of the 72-year-old former philosophy professor and theatre director who became a wartime general shouting and drinking what he said was poison were streamed live on the court’s website and around the Balkans.
Whether guilty or not this is to much to see on Tv early in afternoon!
My question is what kind of security is in this court and how this could happen at all?
And yes- man died a few hours after that!
As for Hague Tribunal, two more people comitted suicide there - Slavko Dokmanović, ex-mayor of Vukovar in 1998, and Milan Babić, former leader of Krajina Serbs in 2006.

It's not first such event in history. Honour of first person to commit suicide on live TV belongs to Christine Chubbuck, American local TV anchor in Sarasota, Florida, who shot herself in the head during morning news show in August 1974. There was a biopic about her called Christine, starring Rebecca Hall in title role.
