Teaching Programming to Refugees

I had a really fun lesson with my small class of refugees from the Middle East (Syria and Palestine) today. I was teaching the basics of computer programming and algorithms. A few participants struggled with new concepts at first, but in the end everyone managed to complete all the exercises. Just think that they wrote their very first programs today and what a boost to their confidence it must have been!
