in #life8 years ago

Hello my steemit friends. Today I want to present you the the 10 richest people of all time.

Yesterday I presented to you the first part. Here are the top 5!

5. Joseph Stalin (1878 - 1953)

Stalin got his wealth similar to Gengis Khan from the empire he controlled. In 1950, three years before his death, the Soviet Union made up 9.6 percent of global GDP. According to today's standards, this would be around 7.5 trillion dollars.

It was true that Stalin could not controll it like personal wealth, but he had the power to divert the country and its economic power at will, which is why historians argue to include him in a list of the richest persons in history.

4. Akbar (1542-1605)

The Great Akbar is the greatest ruler India has ever seen. At the time, India had about 25 percent of global GDP. This is as much as today Europe and South America together.

The richest Indians of this time have put the European nobility into the shadow of the lifestyle. The Mughal dynasty to which Akbar belonged is one of the most effective dynasties of history when it comes to get money from the people.

3. Shenzong (1048 - 1085)

Also 37 years of life can be enough to reach immeasurable wealth. The Chinese ruler Shenzong ruled over an empire in the 11th century which, according to the estimate, controlled up to 30 per cent of the world economy - more than Akbar in his time.

On the one hand, this economic power was based on the technological innovations of the Chinese, which were around 100 years ahead of Europe at the time, and an effective tax system. Shenzong as a ruler controlled this wealth very directly because of the centralist system.

2. August Caesar (63 before Christ - 14 after Christ)

Emperor Augustus also ruled the Roman empire with up to 30 percent of the world economy. But there is another aspect of Augustus: 20 per cent of the Roman wealth belonged directly to the ruler. According to today's standards, these would be an incredible 4.6 trillion dollars - the gross domestic product of Japan.

1. Mansa Musa (1280 - 1337)

Surprise: The richest man in history comes from Africa. And according to historians he was so rich that even a number can not be calculated for it. Musa ruled over a desert kingdom whose palace was in the Timbuktu in today's Mali.

Contemporary chroniclers describe Musa's wealth as insane and revel in their choice of words. When he set out for Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca, he was said to have spent so much money in Egypt that their currency system almost collapsed. Dozens of camels should have dragged gold. Others report that he had an army of 200,000 men - for those times priceless.

Musa's wealth: gold! His empire was not great, but the greatest gold producer of the time. An estimated ton per year has been produced. So much gold that Musa did not know where to go: "There are pictures of him with a gold pendant in hand on a golden throne, in the other hand a golden cup, on the head a golden crown "As a person can own, and double that amount - then you have an approximate idea of Musa's wealth, "says the historian Rudolph Ware of the University of Michigan.
