ENGAGE THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING 

Positive thinking is an optimistic mental attitude that focuses on the bright side of life. Positive thinking is essential if you want to live a happy, successful and healthy life. 

Why positive thinking is important 

Your life is your garden, your thoughts are the seeds. If your life isn't awesome, you've been watering the weeds.
When you expect the best, you release a magnetic force in your mind which by a law of attraction tends to bring the best to you.

Our mind controls us. What's in our minds determine how we react to things. What's in our minds will either make us grow in life or pull us down. It will either make us happy or keep us sad. Being optimistic helps you see advantages in almost everything that comes across you.

It is certain that if you are not thinking positively, then you are thinking negatively.

What is negative thinking? 

Negative thinking is focusing on the wrong stuff and possibly exaggerating them. No matter what you are going through in life, you have the power to determine how you react to it. You can choose to see the bright side of it, or you can choose to dwell in self-pity, worries, anger and fear. When an optimistic person encounters failure, he'll see the lesson learned rather than getting angry or become sad depressed and afraid. 

Negative thinking involves;

  • Worrying  
  • Blaming someone else for your misfortune 
  • Forgiveness. Etc. 
  • All these things are toxic to our emotionally, physically and mentally wellness. 
  • Negative thoughts can cause the following; 
  •  Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Low self-esteem
  •  Loss of memory
  •  Low immune system. 
  • Make you feel worse by exaggerating bad things.
  • Hinder you from achieving something that you want.
  • Limits the option to see good around you. Etc. 

On the other hand, positive thinking attracts good things to your life. It helps you see opportunity in every aspect of life. It keeps you focused on good things thereby leaving you happy no matter the prevailing circumstances around you. 

Benefits of positive thoughts. 

  • It reduces stress 
  • It prolongs life span.
  • It makes you live a happy life. 
  • It attracts good things and good people to you.
  • It helps you take better decisions. 

How to develop positive mindset 

  • Be thankful for the blessings in your life. Complain and worry less about the things you don't have. 
  • Don’t worry about problems and challenges, find ways to solve them.
  • Expect the best and positive results from everything you do. If it doesn't turn out as expected move on and think of better ways to achieve your goals. Don't waste your energy worrying. 
  • Hang out with positive people. Don't give toxic or negative people any space in your life. 
  • Don't engage in an inner negative dialogue with yourself. Most times things aren't as bad as we portray them. Engaging in a negative dialogue with yourself will maximize problems and overlook blessings.
  • Try positive affirmations. 
  • Have fun. Do things that make you happy. E.g., traveling, dancing, singing, sports etc. 
  • Keep your heart free from hate. 
  •  Halt negative thoughts immediately.
  • Remember what went well and celebrate it. etc.

Conclusion 

I live a happy and healthy lifestyle, not because I'm free from life's challenges. As a matter of fact, I've been through a lot, and I'm still facing a lot. But I have realised that dwelling on the negative side of life won't make me overcome my challenges. So I chose to lighten my burden and get better options for overcoming them by thinking positively.

The power of manifestation, of frequencies that turn thought patterns into matter, is incredibly strong when thinking positively. Just as negative thought, such as stress, changes your very physique, so too does positive thinking plant seeds that may very well make you feel happier by the day!

When you told me about steemit, I thought about it positively; that's why I'm here today, just as you said in your post on positive thinking; I'll apply it the more, though for now i don't have much followers, still gathering for stamina, my posts reward never exceeded $1 because for now am just a newbie in steemit yet with a large heart for improvement, to be happy, to have fun in this community of great minds, to learn, and never to put my mind on
my hitches but rather evolving positively in building steemit. thanks for sharing @ogoowinner

I try to surround myself with people that are positive thinkers. I do not see much value in the negative. Being real about the state of things does not necessitate highlighting one side or the other. Life is the great gift of expression, use it wisely.
