The Backyard Homestead. A good Introduction.

This is a great book for starting your own small garden. I recommend trying some of these small-scale ideas before you decide to Homestead.

The hardest part for me is to keep the critters from eating all the food I grow...

I am happiest with my dwarf apple and pear Trees... and my blueberry bushes.

    I got this for Father's Day.

    I told my wife that, if people had to start from scratch, this would be a great book to use. Simple, but enough information to get you started. The book also references other more detailed sites and books in the back.

    Of course, in an EMP situation, all those eBooks and on-line sources will be useless.
