Work Hard to earn money and you can´t feed your family well?

This question came to my mind yesterday, when at dinner time one of my children asked for more food and unfortunately we had nothing more to offer, it is really unfortunate and almost depressing (for not to say depressing) the situation that we live many Venezuelans, I remember when I was a child I always had one plate of food on the table.

My father with only a sixth grade education and working hard for years, was able to feed, clothe, give us a good education and a house, of course all this could do when we lived in the so-called wild capitalism, where it allegedly was explode the working class to enrich the imperialist business owners.

My wife and I are university graduates we have our own business and hard work every day, but the difference is that we take to live this part of the story where he implemented a Pseudo-Socialism more than 17 years ago (more than half my life) and unlike our parents who were able to build actives and gave us a good quality of life, we can only try with and that is the right word (Try) to provide good nutrition to our children because we can not think of buying them clothes but until it is absolutely necessary and we are always praying for they never get sick because find medicines here is practically impossible.

Returning to the root of my story, we work hard but we can´t even feed our children well, food has become a kind of black market where every day is harder to get, I mean foods like pasta , rice, oil, butter, flours, etc. meats are obtained regularly but are we going to feed our children only meat and chicken ?.

I say that food has become a kind of black market because the only way to get them is by calling better known resellers as (Bachaqueros) who are people have a kind of mafia with basic necessities, they divert the products that is selling rationed in business in long lines and then they sell up to 100 times their real value.

I also remember my parents who lived capitalism in all its splendor they was not worry about feed, they worried for giving us a balanced nutrition and they could go to the corner store and buy the food they wanted and in the quantities they wanted, unfortunately we are bad feeding our children not because we want to, but because the situation requires us to feed them what we can get.

Unfortunately we can not choose the moment of history in which we live, but something if I am convinced it i would have preferred a thousand times to lived in the capitalist epoch of my country and not in this miserable Socialism that has only generated us more poverty and suffering.

In the picture below you can see all I got buy after calling a Bachaquero, at least for the menu tonight will eat rice and chicken.
