Silence and the distance

Let us distance ourselves from things, from people, from mundane, from everyday life ... it gives us new perspectives, both from the world around us and from our own inner world.

The distance from the problems that most affect or worry us become smaller and their meaning and value tend to fade.

The withdrawal of the restless world in which we live, even if temporarily, gives us a more accurate degree in regard to our priorities. And as for me, this is positive and definitely important and essential for life.

The Silence imposed by Nature helps us to see in greater depth and through the eyes of the heart what is in fact essential to our life. In fact, we need very little to live well.

Returning to the demands of the city lends the word "civilization" an aggressive and unappealing connotation.
After all, civilization finds itself in pure decline, for the human essence desires, yearns, even if in silence, to return to its primitive, "wild" state, pure, coherent, real.

Silence and Distance have given me once more, and this time, with greater intensity, the need to be in constant interaction with Nature and with the beings that inhabit it.

In the face of nature, there is no need for subterfuge, for useless fugues, or for capricious desires, for she is in charge of dismantling all the devices, all the masks, all the tricks of the mind, and all the confabulations. It takes us away from the illusion and gives us purity and innocence.
