Criptographic coins for minnows - Part 2

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Hi! I'm just giving a sign that I'm still here and alive.

Today I got more experience with a cripto wallet. A friend that started mining GRC last week sent me 0.01 GRC just to test the wallet. Maybe I'm getting rusty, because I asked him a lot of stupid questions, that had obvious answers .

What I've learned today:

  • A wallet can have multiple income addresses, in the same way a pocket wallet can have multiple pockets inside it to keep it organised and to know how much money came from who.
  • GridCoinResearch wallet (that can also mine new coins) had to be kept open for several hours before it received all the blocks from the network and the transaction that my friend made for me.
  • Small transactions are not welcomed by the network, from multiple reasons. Sending worthless coins would clutter the network and they wouldn't be able to take a reasonable fee for the delivery, or the delivery would cost more than the value of the sent coin.
  • This Crypto-wallet is not good for storing money for months. It "leaks". Use it or loose it. Currency wants to flow.

It's nice writing an article and feeling good, but now I have a head ache and need some sleep.

C ya later.
