OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM

I was in church on the Ist of october 2017 to rejoice with fellow Nigerian on our Independence day. The service started with our national anthem. However, for the first time intead of stanza one which was always the case, stanza two was taken, it then dawned on me that stanza two of our anthem was a prayer for Nigeria. I had to analyze it, I discovered that all this while we have neglected the help and directions of God as a nation. We have dwelt on the first stanza so much that its no longer relevant. Think about it, we no longer have patriots so the people arising are selfish individuals who have no plans to answer to the call of our nation.

To serve our father's land with love and strenght and faith, is now a fairy tale, they now serve that is if they are serving at all with the number of Ghana must go bags that will exchange hands. The labour of our heroes past are already in vain, because this is not the Nigeria they dreamt of when they fought with all their might. Did I hear you say to serve with heart and might? What a Joke! When there is so much to grab, they now serve because of what they stand to gain. One nation bound in .............. the choice of word is yours just fill in the gap as you are led., peace and unity.( Irony) its just like adding three unlike term in mathematics.

However, my friends, I realized that there is hope for us via the second stanza of our anthem, that hope is in God.

The man who composed this anthem was really inspired by GOD. Therefore I recommend that the second stanza should be compulsory in all our national functions, state functions, schools and all other social gatherings. If we can do this, you'll discover that on daily basis we are praying for our great nation. We can't make it if God is not involved. Sit down yourself and go through that stanza and you 'll see that the prayer covers every area that we are having challenges as a nation. His ears are not deaf that He would not hear us, not only hearing us He will heal this nation . In Jesus name AMEN. Please spread the good news, " THE GOD OF CREATION IS SET TO DELIVER OUR NATION
