RE: Prefer Paper? Sick of Scrolling? [Amazing Spider-Man #800] [NO SPOILERS!]
You're likely going to crucify me, @bryan-imhoff .
What have you made of Slott's performance over the last decade?
I think I'd be sick of Spider-Man after writing for him for that long.
Take care mate.
Nick.
No crucifixion incoming! I’m sorry I haven’t managed more interaction on your recent posts!
I have read hardly any of Slott’s Spider-Man. Marvel was my bread & butter in my early years, but in the limited reading time I’ve had recently it’s been just a few select Marvel titles & some Indy stuff. When I saw the solicits for those issues with all the Spider tech & vehicles I was totally uninterested, that was so far from the soul of the character to me.
I subscribe to Marvel Unlimited and love it, but I do open up the app and freeze from all the choice of what to read! I love digital for the ease of reading & storage... but your descriptions of the print experience really strike a chord, and I understand completely!
It’s been several years since my last burst of print purchasing habit. I used https://www.dcbservice.com and loved it, it’s a great option in the US. The comic shop experience is great, but I’m more than happy sitting down with a new Previews catalog each month and filling my budget! I may need to make that a habit again soon... Damn your tantalizing posts!
Haha. Tantalizing! I should be getting kick backs from the publishers, eh?
Spider tech.. doesn't suit him, does it? I get web shooters, but it ends there.
I love the idea of buying from a previews catalogue. We don't have those in Aus. I just use google and the upcoming week's comic listings at the King's Comics website.
Any comic suggestions for upcoming reads? I feel like I've asked that before, but I'm going a bit brain dead.
Talk later, bud.
Nick
