RE: Avengers: Endgame Is Three Hours Long | Things I've Done For Three Hours

in #life5 years ago

I am actually looking forward to sitting to watch this for three hours as long as it doesn't end with another cliffhanger like the past couple of movies! I have been catching up on my Steem feed after being disconnected for 2 days so more than 3 hours so far today!

Hey, @newageinv.

Wow! Some kind of service blackout? I'm glad to see things are restored.

I don't think there's any major cliffhangers planned this time, although the end credit scenes might hint at something that's going to happen, or they could introduce new elements or characters for future stuff. They've been quite good at doing that.

However, one way or another, the collecting of the gem stones to wipe out half the universe will come to an end. My guess is that some heroes that are currently dead will somehow make it back alive (like Spider-man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and most of the Guardians of the Galaxy, since only Rocket Racoon survived the snap. All of those have movies coming up and while Marvel could do some continuity gymnastics, it's just easier to bring them back.

And that would be consistent with the Infinity Gauntlet series these movies are based on. Now, how it's all going to happen, I don't know, because they've strayed far enough from the original story that it's difficult to say how they'll get it all back.

So, that's supposed to have a more definite end, and I think we'll see that major story arc be put to bed as another begins.

On vacation with the family and we had an island adventure off the coast of Colombia and reception was not even worth trying.

I expect the same and as an Infinity Gauntlet fan from the original comics, I am looking forward to the implications of these changes for the MCU in the future movies. I just hope they get X-Men back on track!

I'd like to see them get X-Men on track period. I grew up on the glory days of Claremont, Byrne and Austin, so Fox, in my mind, has yet to get any of it right. And the Fantastic Four have just plain been ruined. :)

They'll have some work cut out for them getting the X-Men going simply because they haven't been around for the last 10-plus years. Plus, we've had plenty of origin stories, so re-introducing them won't work unless they did something similar to how they brought Spider-Man into the MCU.

re: Colombia

Wow. Nice. You really got away. Good for you all. :)
