Adventures in Memories

in #life7 years ago (edited)

My internet was down for some time and I started checking my hard drives for my old files. Then I happen to stumble upon the folder with these old photos of mine. These were actually the photos when I was in secondary school. This actually took me back to my school days. And guess what I got a new topic to share with steemians. So in this post I am sharing some of the pictures from the Folder and sharing some random memories with it.

The Folder actually  had the photos of the trekking we had undertaken after completing my 10th grade. It was so much fun after completing SLC (School Leaving Certificate) that's what is called iron gate here in Nepal. All of us had got admitted for +2 or High school education in Kathmandu (That's some 300 kilometers away from our hometown Syangja. ) It was some sort of union we were having and we though of trek to the Uphill to a place named Tamkikot. It was believed that there were some some palaces there during the old kingdom system in Nepal but we couldn't see any.

I remember vividly the entire journey and I am here to share the trip here with you and also some photos.  We were 9 boys in total all schoolmates and started the journey at 7 in the morning and it was the month of September I guess. On the initiation it was so fun to descend down down the hill but we were also preparing ourselves to climb up the steep hills.

We had our breakfast on a place called Aandhimuhan, here's one picture with Nepal's largest hydro power project till date, Kaligandaki A HydroPower Project built on holy Kaligandaki river.

After crossing a bridge on the Kaligandaki river now we had to travel all the way through the steep hills.

When we felt a bit tired we rested for a while. But we had a long way to go and we continued our journey. We had managed to carry some snacks for the journey. It was supposed to be a one day journey. We were supposed to return that day. But guess what there were some changes on plan and we decided to stay in the jungle that night.

At around 1 O' clock in the afternoon we actually reached a place called Deurali may be. There was this school. Believe me people live and study in these steep hills in Nepal. We paused our journey for a while and played football and volleyball on the school ground.

After spending some half an hour and after having lunch we again continued our journey.  On the journey after this there were trails on some places and in some there were not any. Not matter what we were enjoying the togetherness. (I don't know if I was posing though)

Then we reached to place called Raniphaal. It was believed that a queen actually killed herself by jumping down through these piles of large rocks.

We were near our destination and the sun was about to say good bye for the day. We actually reached the destined place at around 5 pm. Actually we had nothing destined but we got a place where we could spend our night.

This was where we spent our night. We had a sleeping bag but we thought of not using it.

We made fire and sat in circle around it and started sharing our funny, weird and all the stories we had.

We had already welcomed the moon and spend the whole night talking about life. (I don't know how much I had known about life that time LOL) But since we had to return back to our homes the next day we rested for a while.

Here are some photos from the top and the photos we had clicked on the way to the top.

There's me in there in the picture. LOL

This must be next day early in the morning.

Next day we had no charges on our phones and cameras to click photos. But it was an interesting journey way back to home.

These photos are precious and make me remember whole lots of things. Not just I was thin that time but also that these adventures had added spice to the life. The photographs are not clear and good but are put just to tell about the journey. Thank you for giving time to read this small piece of memory.
