What is success in life ?

First i will start of by saying thank you to people in advance that comment and add to the discussion below..

As the title of the post goes what is success in life, Over the years my personal view on the concept of success has changed may times and will change many more times after this post. When we are young we are told to go to school and study hard get good grades and be successful simple right easy as 1,2,3.

Over the years i have met many people that did very well academically, They studied hard got good grades and had high paying jobs. Strangely i always found it interesting that people in this category of success tended to fill there life's with what i can only describe as clutter everything from the nice car to beautiful house even the people they kept as company, Yet with all the wonderful clutter those same people will always romanticise the idea of selling everything moving a way to a simpler way of life cant help but think of the movie fight club in this situation the irony....

But lets not forget about the other side of the spectrum we have all met at least one person in this category

Now i'm not judging but i almost find it confusing to why people in this group tend to be so depressed about how much time they feel they wasted, maybe wasted is the wrong word for it but regret that's fitting living in the moment leads to many stories and memories that they will look back on almost to a obsessive degree referring to it as the best time in there life, but at the same time being depressed about how little they have to show for a life of moments as they think scroll through a Facebook feed find long lost friends looking at all the things they have the irony of it all.

Depending on the respond from the steemit community ill make a series of this topic maybe make you think about your own lives at least to some degree
