New to Steemit? Well this might help.

Once in a while, we think of learning something new. May it be playing an instrument, learning a new language, understanding cyptocurrency, steemit and so much more. Whatever it is that you want to learn, the person who can learn faster will always have the indispensable advantage in life. Although there’s just so much time in the day to learn these skills, you can increase how fast you learn something and propel yourself to success.

Here are 5 hopefully useful steps to learn absolutely anything faster.

  1. Know your method.

This is similar to excersising. More exercise time doesn't necessarily mean ripper body instead you should develop your own, personal method and techniques to stay fit. It would be preposterous to say that the number of hours isn’t important, but instead explore which method will give you the best results. Experiment on yourself, search for dozens of available methods to follow and learn from the available "experts". Moreover, spend a lot of time understanding who you’re learning from, what credibility they have, and how it fits with your learning style.

  2. 80/20 rule rules

80/20 rule or Pareto rule is a concept developed by Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto which states that 80% of your desired outputs will come from only 20% of your inputs.
While the exact ratio changes on varying situations, you will find that when it comes to learning, it feels like there’s so much we don’t know. It's relatively easy to jump around everywhere. That would be a waste of your precious time instead it would be better if you try to identify your goals and strengths and start on buildng them more.
For instance, if you are trying to learn Spanish to travel this summer, instead of hopelessly learning how to write or read, you should focus on how to speak Spanish. Or instead of trying to post something in every topic in steemit, focus on the one you are more knowledgeable and create quality contents more often.

  3. Learn by doing

"Experience is the best teacher". Don't just focus on learning the theoreticals and try to explore more by actually doing it. As research shows, it turns out that we retain most of our learning experiences when we were engaged to tasks and problems concerning them.
Recall how you learned to play basketball, ride a bicycle, or read. Instead of just watching tutorial videos or letting people tell you how to do something, you make your own way and stumle upon different problems, solutions and techniques that will eventually transform you into an expert.

  4. Find a mentor

Every great man that ever lived had one thing in common— they all have a teacher. This is equally relevant when you are trying to learn something. Instead of just aimlessly wandering, try finding a mentor that will share to you their thoughts and guide you along the way of becoming a great man.
Having a mentor allows you to see the blind spots that you haven't see before, and guide you through the tough times that will inevitably come when you’re just a noob exploring an unknown domain. The point is, you should not do it all alone. And having someone that’s keeping you accountable can take you miles further than doing everything yourself.

  5. Keep your pace and don't quit

Keeping the determination and stamina after relentlessly trying to learn something is not an easy task. You might end up gradually losing focus and quiting. But always remember it is hard to see any consistent results until you’ve put in a significant amount of work in it. Just do it!
For writers, this is sitting down and writing 5000 words a day — no matter how bad it may turn out. For athletes, this is waking up every morning and training — no matter how groggy and sore you feel. For language learners, it’s forcing yourself to speak the language every day — no matter how many mistakes you make or how uncomfortable you may feel.

Final Thoughts
"When you stop learning, you start dying".
This is the mantra that I keep on reminding my self whenever I'm starting to forget why I'm learning something. I truly hope that this advice on learning can be of great help to you dear reader. Thank you for reading...

You must be careful when using images that are not free and copyrighted. Especially stock images from gettyimages etc ... you might think you are quite anonymous here, but is not the case.

I just wanted to tell you that I am satisfied and everything is fine with me again 😊

Thanks @accuser for specifically pointing where my mistakes and how to fix them. I really appreciate it...

You're welcome @neonihilist. I wish you the best.
