THE OLDEST REFUGEE OF WORLD

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Swedish migration refused the request and decided to deport the 106-year-old Afghan woman, who is blind, lying in bed and as the world's oldest refugee.

According to a Swedish public broadcaster report, the agency rejected Bibikhal Uzbek's asylum request, which had lived in the town of Skaraborg in West Gothenburg for a year.

Uzbekistan has the right to appeal the decision of the agency, which says that Kunduz in northern Afghanistan, Uzbek's hometown where heavy clashes occur between Afghan security forces and the Taliban, are safe for the return of the Uzbek family.

Escaping from his war-torn country, Uzbek arrived in Croatia last year with his family. After reviewing his documents, Croatian police announced that the woman was 105 years old.

Uzbek was first seen in a refugee camp in October 2015, in Opatovac, Croatia, near the border with Serbia. He was taken on a stretcher by his family members for most of the time during his journey.
He then arrived in Sweden to apply for asylum.

Known as a Taliban stronghold,
Kunduz is the last major city captured by the US-backed Northern Alliance during the invasion of Afghanistan in 2001. Terrorist groups remain strong in rural Kunduz province.

During the summer of 2015, Taliban fighters stormed the Afghan security forces and seized an important strategic city, located on the main road linking central provinces and the capital Kabul to the north. More than 100,000 people were displaced during the clash.

The Taliban held the city for two weeks before withdrawing, and continued to launch a large-scale onslaught that targeted the city in spring and summer.

According to a report by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) released in early July, 14,000 people fled in Kunduz province in a week due to the relentless fighting between Afghan and rebel forces in the area around the province. capital.

In 2016, more than 660,600 civilians leave their homes across Afghanistan, whereas in early 2017, the United Nations forecasts that 450,000 others will flee in the country by the end of this year.

I am very sad to hear voices about Uzbeks and Muslim Turks in general who suffer from terrorists and war in the world.
I just wish that they will be safe and in peace with their families anywhere they go.
God bless all humans who help the vulnerable around the world.
Thank you bro for sharing this story.
