RE: Summer in the city

in #life7 years ago

I think if you grew up in the U.S. where most buildings aren't even a 100 years old and like Germany had incredible architecture so gothic almost, and the people loved to have fun, though we were all 18-21 years old at the time, you are right though, it defied all the stereotypes of Germans, mean, strict, and such a harsh sounding language etc. I think if I went anywhere in Europe I would call it magical from the view of my American eyes, Boston was fun, sometimes the only chance you have to travel is for work and it was one city that I would never choose to go to,but really loved it for the short time I was there. What country do you live Lady Rebecca? Was it Rumania?

Yes, I'm in Romania, so by nature I'm inclined to feel more at home in a Latin country. I love Italy most of all, partly because just like you I first went there when I was 20.... Also, I know the language, which helps a lot, whereas German I only understand ten words, maybe.

I just looked up Romania on the map and read the wiki on Romania 😀, while I've heard of Romania you would be the first person I know from there, very cool location, it looks like you don't have to travel far and you would be in a whole different world, Turkey especially. It sucks that Urkraine is war torn, that would be a cool place to visit, I also wish I could visit Russia in my lifetime. You must have a very interesting life😀, unfortunately I am a stereotypical American and have barely mastered English, It must be nice to have the ability to speak more than one language!
