So here today i will be discussing with you my friends about happiness and how to stay happy for the rest of the days we have in this world..

What exactly is happiness?
Let me tell you how many times we use to tell ourselves that i need to be happy? Or we tell people around us that "i want to see you happy?". So what actually it means;

Let me start with what we think happiness is but in real world happiness is not even near to it let us ist see what happiness is not.
We think that going out for a date with our gf/bf is happiness, eating a pizza is happiness, enjoying a dance party is happiness, outing with friends is happiness, the desire and thrill of having sex ,a fine meal.. those all are just the pleasure full movements you enjoy for a very short time. Those pleasure full movements will turn into memories that will be imprinted in your conscious and sub-conscious minds and will make you smile whenever you go down the memory lane.

All these experiences are just a fleet of pleasure and pleasure is a feeling that must go because if we keep doing the things that please us all the time we will get used to it and our mind will adopt to the things and they will eventually become routine and will fail to please us next time.chasing pleasure is not happiness.
If pleasure is not happiness then what is happiness?

"Happiness is to remain contented with what you have and you have all you need."*

So in short you are happy if you have all you wish and you desire. Perfect happiness is when you are fully satisfied with your contentment. However perfect happiness is hard to achieve and even harder to maintain. There are nearly limitless degrees of happiness between the bliss of enlightenment and the despair of depression. Most of us fall somewhere between, closer to the middle than the edges.

How to stay happy?
To build a happy life we all must accept the principal of fulfilment and satisfaction as we now know happiness is fulfilling our needs.
Now let me ask you a question Are are humans similar? Ofcourse not some are simple and some are complex. Simplicity means less needs and more happy complex means more needs and less happy. So describing how to stay happy won't be a one-size-fit for all. Everybody has his own needs based on how he has been raised, his genetic makeup, where he lives and his life experiences. Those needs make up unique, complex and other aspect of what makes us what we are.

The current theory of how we can stay happy is largely based on new scientific discoveries about how the brain works and on current happiness theories, has identified 9 universal and overlapping human needs which go by the handy acronym WE PROMISE.
WE PROMISE stands for:
●Wellbeing
●Environment
●Pleasure
●Relationships
●Outlook
●Meaning
●Involvement
●Success
●Elasticity

Now let me explain them one by one
What does wellbeing mean?
Wellbeing means the physical fitness you have how fit you are physically indicates your wellbeing and how well do you divert the things effect your mood.

What does environment mean?
Environment means the external things like your home, weather, food avaliblity, freedom.
images (6).jpeg

What does pleasure mean?
Pleasure we have discussed in th starting means the act of kissing, sex, dancing, outing, meal etc .
images (4).jpeg

What does relationship mean?
As we are social animals so relation is the basis of why we are humans. Relationships play a crucial role in being happy.

What does outlook mean?
Means how we aproach reality of the nature like how we plan how we proceed according to the plan etc.

What is meaning?
Meaning is having a purpose to do things you want to.

What does involvement mean?
Means that you need to be active and involved in you life physically as well as mentally.

What does success mean?
Success means the positive feed back from your self and other people around you.
images (7).jpeg

What does elasticity mean?
Means how fast do you recover from bad experiences and bad things in your life.
images (8).jpeg
These 9 categories cover the range of human needs in a very general way and are intentionally overlapping, just as our thoughts and feelings overlap in our mind.
For example, the thrill of a roller-coaster ride is a mix of: fear (Elasticity), joy (Pleasure), adventure (Outlook), shared experience (Relationships), safety (Environment), upset tummies (Wellbeing), the courage to ride (Involvement), and the reward of having done it (Success). All these are experienced in one event, many at the same moment in time.

The ultimate key to happiness is to build a lifetime of fulfilment and satisfaction.
Stay happy and contented i wish you happiness and fulfilment.

I L O V E D reading this piece. Thanks!
"chasing pleasure is not happiness." is exactly what my grandmother taught me throughout all my childhood. She kept repeating that I should never search for pleasure. That fullfilling pleasures would never be the way to get happy. I eventually understood all of it years after I had grown up and she had already died. Today I am the happiest person I know.

Thanks for the reminder!
