The spacious and green Parc de la Ciutadella is located in the center of Barcelona next door to the district of ciutat vella. Dividing La Vila Olimpica and Ciutat Vella for many years this beautiful park was the only public park in the city. Perfectly designed by Josep Fontseré and opened in 1881. It has 10 different access and its 17.43 hectares, its the 2nd larger park of the city and inside you will find the entry to the zoo.

El espacioso y verde Parc de la Ciutadella se encuentra en el centro de Barcelona, al lado del distrito de Ciutat Vella. Dividiendo La Vila Olimpica y Ciutat Vella durante muchos años, este hermoso parque fue el único parque público de la ciudad. Perfectamente diseñado por Josep Fontseré e inaugurado en 1881. Tiene 10 accesos diferentes y sus 17,43 hectáreas, es el segundo parque más grande de la ciudad y en su interior se encuentra la entrada al zoológico.

Inside this beautiful park we can find lots of trees, a small lake and some sculptures. During the week days is not so crowded.
