No progress

Do you know what this is?
No, I don't intend to make shit posts or publish obscene things.
I just want to show you something.

In fact, if someone takes a selfie or takes pictures of a luxury toilet there will be nothing wrong.
But now that I'm showing you a toilet that's not luxurious at all, it feels wrong. Right?

Yet I just want to ask you - have you seen such thing somewhere?
And where?
Have you seen it in the past and today no more, or you continue to see it, or you've never seen it?
Because I know these "things" from the past. I know toilets of the same kind in even much more miserable and dirty condition.
In the villages, people did not have much money at one time and could not afford much.
But many years have passed since then.
And the pictures I'm showing you now were taken last year. And not in a village, but in the city. And not somewhere, but in a restaurant. So, this is the toilet of a restaurant in a small town.
I was completely shocked to see this.

One might say that we are not yet living in the 21st century, that there is no progress here.
And there never will be.
