Strong character builds greatness, weak character leads to misery.
In life, we are always in constant changes, doing new stuff and facing a lot of troubles in order to put ourselve in better places. The way that a person face the difficulties in his life says a lot of the character of that person.
Adversities and troubles don't build the character of someone, but show it instead. Adversities and difficulties are most like two crossed ways between character and resignation or submission, two different ways which are going ot lead people to two different results and ways of living.
Everytime that a person choose character, this one become stronger, even though this choice means negative consequences. The meaning of this is that the character es virtually the focus of our development as human beings, nevertheless not many people are keen to choose character instead of the easy road, it's truly tentative to stay quiet and passive against hard moments.
But people need to know that having a strong character is more than just saying a lot of words, some people could confuse this part. Every person in the world may say anything about his integrity or character, but in the end the best indicator for this topic is how the person acts in front of hard times, his elections, his movements, etc...
Your character defines what you are, what you are defines what you see and do, that's why your character influence directly in your actions, so you must be careful with all this thing. If the someone's intentions and actions are totally the opposite, you must see the character of that person so as to find the real problem.
And other people don't trust in a person who has cracks in his characters.
The most important part of all of this is that the character is something that we may choose, it's totally under our control to choose acting with strong character. We will always have some kind of things that we can't control at all, like our parents or our names, like the circumstances we were born or we were rised.
But when we talk about character we can always choose this one, we can decide between avoiding or facing hard times, between taking easy money or just being willing to pay the price for real success and wealth.
Have you ever realized that there are some very talented people who suddenly fall down to misery in a short period of time? People who reach great heighs but lack of a strong character which stand them during a time of stress and struggles are going to disaster for sure, soon or later.
In order to have an enduring and strong as a wall success, you must have a proportional character to that goal, and if you don't want to pay that price, your success wont last too much.
There are a lot of stories about famous athletes or even politicians who seemed to be in the greatness, but some time later they were back in misery. What could be the reason of their failure? The weakness on their character or the lack of a plan to stay up.
That could only mean one single thing, something which many people don't understand at all, success and wealth resides inside the mind of everyone and not in the material things or money. All the money that a person could amass through his life is more a consequence of the way that his mind and character works. Have it in mind all the time.
Before setting up a great goal, you must know all the things you need so as to achieve it. That includes the character needed.
