Hey Steemit! Remember that time? [Disasters]
Remember when that tornado smashed through downtown?
What about when that massive volcano blew its top and covered the city in volcanic ash?
And of course who can forget this?
The good thing is that in every disaster scenario, life moves on. You just gotta grab life by the pussy and keep going.
What are the images above?
Hey Steemit, do you have any disaster photos you would like to share?
Let's see em'
Those top pictures remind me of when they built the John Hancock Tower in Boston. It was one of the first buildings to have the mirrored glass exterior. For some reason the panes kept falling out and they had the streets surrounding it blocked off for months. It was mostly plywood when you looked at it.
That building is the Westin in Atlanta. It was boarded like that for a really long time because each panel needed to be custom built due to the curvature.
I'm not sure what happened in Boston...I suspect the technology of manufacturing the glass came before the technology to anchor it.
