The Chinese Winter Solstice Festival is being celebrated today to mark the beginning of winter.

With the ease and efficiency of the Internet, people everywhere are able to send greetings and wishes for all kinds of festivals and celebrations without the need of buying cards and stamps. The ecards are also so often received and readily forwarded to other friends at no expense whatsoever. Not very original and absolutely lacklustre effort.

A friend sent me a video of a cat apparently belting out wishes for the occasion in an extremely high pitch tone. It is singing in Mandarin and I have no idea exactly what about. I told her that the video is less than funny and the kiddo would absolutely freak out if I show it to him.

I spotted a nice ecard that I sent in reply. My friend is amused that she managed to rattle me and promised to send similar naughty videos in future so that celebrations for me would be more lively!
