Learning to Swim

The kiddo loves water. It is always difficult to get him to take his daily bath or shower but once he is in the bathroom, it is even harder to make him come out of the tub. It is no wonder as he takes several plastic companions with him into the tub and it becomes another playtime session.

We want the kiddo to learn to swim and understand the importance of safety. We have signed him up for a beginner course. The instructor has taught him and the kids in the class about safety, how to float, kicking their legs and reaching for a toy purposely placed at the bottom of the pool.

For now, he still needs a life vest when he is in the pool. While he is learning, he is making new friends as well. He assured me that he would be able to swim soon and save me when I am drowning.
