Gifts at Christmas

Well, scary Halloween is already over and we are now waiting for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Although it seems like a long way to go til Christmas, stores are already displaying Christmasy stuff filled to the rafters.

Planning for gifts can be a challenge. Of course there is the budget to consider. You certainly don't wish to be a Scrooge and buy cheap looking presents. Perusing the display racks or online catalogues is paramount before deciding what to buy. Don't take too long to decide because you would need time to wrap these presents beautifully. Certainly a lot of thought and effort go into gift exchange and marvellous parcels to place around the tree.

I have some fond memories of Christmas gifts received. Last year, I got a box containing a children's tabletop football board game at an office dinner party! It was hilarious and must have been a regift. Fortunately, I have the kiddo to give this amazing present to.

Two years ago, one of the several gifts I got for the kiddo was a doctor's kit. I got rather emotional when one evening I saw the kiddo and his mama happily playing doctor and patient respectively and later switching roles. A heartwarming scene of parent and child bonding.

One time, the kiddo received a shaving razor kit complete with a tube of shaving cream from one of his little friends. There was a lot of shrieking and laughing at bath time that evening. The kiddo shaved for the first time and he perfectly emulated the way his daddy shaves each morning.
