Ethnic Enrichment Festival 2018
Hi everyone, it's the festival weekend again!
Time really flies. It feels just like just two or three months ago that I was at Swope Park. I couldn't go with the kiddo this time as I am away.
The others went but only for a short while as we have house guests and they are leaving soon. It was a fabulous sunny day; great for the festival. Unfortunately, the heat was unrelenting and it was not surprising to see a handful of umbrellas moving around the festival grounds.
The kiddo and friend who tagged along wanted to get their festival passports stamped at the stalls but gave up when the heat got to them. After a drink, snack and short rest in the shade, they were ready to leave and go enjoy that favourite summer sustenance.
Who doesn't love an ice cream in this unforgiving westher
By the way, this is the first time the kiddo has not participated as a 'volunteer' for the festival. He used to help out when he was a teeny chap with the setting up of the tent and we often wondered if he could get the credit points for community service.
