EXIT: THE APPEAL OF SUICIDE

EXIT: THE SUICIDAL APPEAL

Getting suicidal is a very real thing and I truly believe anyone who's not in Christ will eventually become suicidal, because they are in rebellion against the source of life, and therefore rejecting life which leads to death. Everyone has a different threshold and timeline, so no matter how tough you are, if you're not in Christ, you will eventually come at a point where you'll want to commit suicide!

I myself have experienced suicidal thoughts firsthand and if you want to read about my journey, you can do so by clicking HERE. Having said that, I watched the EXIT film today from Living Waters and I liked it, so I thought I would share it here with you guys. Although, I do not fully agree with everything Ray Comfort says, but I'm mostly on board with him! You can watch the EXIT for free on YouTube and I've linked it below! I hope you like it too. Don't forget to share this with your loved ones!

In Romans 1:16, Paul says, "I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes." If you feel powerless to receive what God has done for you through faith, it's because what you're hearing is not the Gospel! The Gospel is good news. It's not about you or what you can do or what you should do! It's all about God and what He has done for you! The only thing you can do is receive it, the same way you receive a gift from someone!

Romans 3:27 summarizes this by saying, "Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith." In Ephesians 2:9-10 we read that, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast." The question here will be have you received this precious gift yet? If not, why? And if yes, then do you know for a fact that you're saved and that nothing can separate you from God?

really interesting ....you written this topic really well with
the practical life feelings...GOOD POST FRIEND!!!!UPVOTED!

Believing in a higher power, or more appropriately, having a relationship with the divine, gives your life meaning.

A meaning that is completely lacking in an atheist. Unless they aren't really an atheist, and sneak behind everyone's back, and has a relationship with the divine, but they call it nature, or the universe (or some other aspect, that are all reflections/parts of the divine)

You commit suicide when your life has no meaning, no purpose, no future.

One of the biggest areas of suicide, (that no one talks about, it is actually an epidemic), is father's who have been summarily separated from their families by the evil of divorce court.

These men used to a have a life of meaning. That meaning was their family. They worked hard to support their family. And then a judge tells them, you have no family, but, you will work hard and send all you money to a never ending sinkpit . To these men, there is no future. Their life is now meaningless.

The only way out is to set yourself on a higher meaning.
And yes, getting angry at your ex will keep you alive.
Because apathy, the lowest emotion, is where you commit suicide.
Although not a positive emotion, anger is higher.

Good post my friend. I will watch the movie link you provided. It is my understanding that suicide is not the unforgivable sin. There are those who have believed that even Christians who commit suicide will go to heaven. How do you personally believe on regarding that? - Troy

I can't really speak for others; maybe this is something that differs from case to case, but if you read my personal journey, I claim to have clearly heard God that if I killed myself, I would be rejecting life which leads to death. It's not about whether something is forgivable or not. It's about what an action means and what the intentions are. Suicide is rejecting life and the opposite of life is death...

Beautiful piece msg768. The grace is always sufficient
