The Universe Has Your Back - Transform Fear Into Faith
After reading just the title of the New York Times' Bestseller written by Gabrielle Bernstein, I already felt hooked and extremely inspired to write a blogpost about it.
I truly believe that the universe has your back and I'm excited to find out if the author connects this in the same way I would. I think that the universe rewards those who trust it, who make seemingly "risky" choices in life, step out of their comfort zone, connect with the universe and seek to experience life to the fullest.
I guess the best way I can describe what I mean is by taking the example of coincidence. We all have experienced magic moments before, where you decided to go right instead of left like you normally do and something crazy happens. You meet someone special, you see an old friend again, you find the answer to a problem. Something happens, because of a decision that you made and you wonder what led to the change in your life that followed.
Sometimes we know that it was us and sometimes we accept it to be a miracle, others label it as coincidence.
However it does take a lot of courage to recognize the pattern. Your fear keeps you safe. It keeps you save from the bad and from the great. Most people try to balance in a state of "being good". Think about it, how many people when you ask them how they are feel amazing, astonishingly great, extremely happy or excited? Those feelings usually only come from taking action, from doing something that is out of the ordinary, an action in spite of fear. Because fear is so present, constantly body-guarding us, we tend to just give in, instead of kindly letting it know about our plan. In my previous post "Monday Musk Motivation" I elaborated on the presence of fear, so I won't go into detail here again, but I find it truly amazing how much (all of it) it controls and navigates the life of most people. Almost all cases of unhappy lives (first world lives) have their origin in fear and I am certain that if more people would trust that the universe has their back, their lives would change completely, the world would be filled with more happiness, passion and positive energy.
This way of thinking would sound ridiculous, if it wasn't 2017 (almost) and we weren't living in the internet age, the age of limitless possibilities. We were gifted with such powerful tools that basically hand you "a guide to freedom". You can learn, connect, and create anything you want, and bring your ideas to life. Is it that easy? No. It takes time, consistency, a sense of urgency, strategy and more faith than fear, but is it worth it? Yes! And guess what...
The Universe Has Your Back!
When you start believing that the Universe has your back, you can continue your journey, but without anxiety and the worries. You stop giving fear the importance it doesn't deserve and you let go of feeling stressed out.
ALL worries and stress comes from either something you CAN or CANNOT change, therefore:
I'm teaching an entrepreneurial women class this month and one question I constantly received, was how to deal with anxiety and fear of the outcome. When you know that you are making progress, no matter how little, and you connect with the universe, you practice gratitude, there is no need to worry, because then you allow the universe to see you. Negative energy disconnects you from the universe and from miracles, whereas positive energy sends a message to the universe that you deserve to be rewarded.
Sometimes people think, the harder they work, the more they do, the more they deserve. That is pretty much the opposite of trusting that the universe has your back. If you instead follow your passion AND your curiosity, you appreciate and love life, which reflects in your actions, that's when the universe responds and you deserve the cherry on top of the cake, that you enjoyed baking.
So I'm currently reading another book, which definitely deserves a blogpost as well, but this one is up next, since only the title and interviews of the author convinced me and made me write this post.
