@coralkean, I beg to differ with your facts on that. Being a graffit artist of 20+ years myself, ive had the opportunity to teach the history of graffiti art on many occassions in my workshops.

Yes, graffiti was (and still is) heavily influenced by Bode's work (i even have a Junkwaffel tattoo) , but he certainly wasnt to godfather of graffiti. The Bode's (both Vaughn and Mark) have worked along side the graffiti world with Mark even painting with some of the worlds best. To the best of my knowledge, Vaughn didnt actually paint.

Most graffiti artists refer to Richard "Richie" Mirando aka Seen as the godfather of the art. While he wasnt the pioneer, he certainly made a name for him self with an artistic career on the trains spanning 16 years.
