Faith, Trust, Change

in #life7 years ago

It seems faith, trust, and change are big words nowadays. Apparently, not all people carry a clear understanding about these influential words. They take light of this enormous responsibilities cloaked in satin and silk. Most people misuse these words as weapons in "word wars" -- some impose, some begs, some apathetic.

Faith is not something you impose. Beliefs can be established and compiled, along with concrete testimonials and proofs, but not faith. Establishing faith takes time. It's like sailing over the Pacific. Sometimes it's rocky. Sometimes it's placid. Sometimes it takes a whole lifetime, voyaging over the search of what to believe in. Often, at life's dawn, the person finally realizes where faith had brought him.

Trust. When you don't believe in that person, how can you even invest trust? It's an investment even beyond a person's imperfections. Well, faith and trust go hand-in-hand, side-by-side. Giving trust to someone means that you let them "utilize" all of you (like a resource) because you believe they will bring you no harm and danger.

"Nothing is CONSTANT but CHANGE," as the cliche goes. It's true. At one point of our life's journey we change tracks; we divert into roads that caught our interests. However, no matter which way we choose, we all end up on that very important day of judgement. Our life has turning points that, even when in the past we strongly adhere to our principles, we change our minds and decide that it's not anymore applicable. It's but a reminder that the change we impose to ourselves must be for our betterment and for the good of all.

If you want to impose CHANGE, have FAITH and build TRUST. If you want to CHANGE someone (which can never happen, since change is a person's own decision), have FAITH and build TRUST. That's how I see it.
