Our brand new car... keyed within 24 hours :(

in #life8 years ago

I AM SO ANGRY RIGHT NOW!

So, yesterday we picked up our brand new car; A Ford Grand Tourneo Connect, with all the space we need for our growing family. Unfortunately our joy and excitement has been shattered in less than 24 hours after this happened!

I'm so angry right now! It looks like it's been deliberately keyed! I really don't understand the mentality of someone who would do something like this. It's simply unbelievable :(

Here's the complete shot of the scratch to give you an idea of the size...

I've arranged for a few quotes tomorrow, and we'll see how much this is gonna cost. I doubt it's going to be cheap though, and having just shelled out a huge amount of cash for the car, it's an expense I could do without! :(

I'm really really sorry this happened to you.
It is a terrible thing they have done.
My new car is now a couple of weeks old and I dread parking in in a carpark or on the street where some idiot will damage it, just because they can.

The scratch can be fixed, but your loss of enjoyment can't.

I hope this is the last problem you have and that from now on you and your family have many, many happy motoring miles in your car.

That sucks! This happened to my parents suburban, just like you, a day or two after they bought it brand new. That probably doesn't help your frustration at the moment, but just know, you are not alone.

I've seen people using nails too! TERRIBLE end to your dream car. Jealousy runs deep ... as does hate! GRRRRRR! Good luck with repairs.

Well, looks like it's gonna cost around £300 (Approx. $373) to fix!
