What is wrong with you people? Like seriously. Why is everybody so negative about everything? You hate the new music for this movie, you hate the actors.. like everything. And why is this movie supposed to be JUST LIKE the anime. It's a movie dammit, they have to make something different... otherwise it wouldn't be interesting if it was just like the anime. This movie is independent. Stop saying that this movie will be crap before it actually comes out!

Public Security Section 9 who created the "shell" to house the Major's "ghost" in the anime/manga seems to be more of a government agency that might just be highly corrupt in this Live Action adaptation. So far it looks good visually, but I'm very curious about the story itself. I think this film will be more of a Sci-fi Action movie rather than a thought provoking exploration of what it means to be "human" like the original GITS film. But technically the GITS SAC television series was more of an action police investigation series in a futuristic setting, and not particularly profound in the same way as the original film. So it's not like all GITS addaptions are as philosophical as the original film is. I just hope it's good enough to do well financially so we might get more high budget, well made, Live Action adaptations of other franchises.

The guy they chased down wearing the thermoptic cloak, didn't he get rid of the cloak after running through the canals ? Here he's still wearing the cloak during the fight, he should be wearing a red shirt with gun holsters, black shades, short hair and a black uzi (not orange/brown). I mean if they're going to recreate an iconic scene in GITS why pay no attention to detail? Also where is the thermoptic visor with the cloth to cover Major's face? Still gonna watch it nonetheless, looks visually pleasing.
