RE: Being Raw and Honest for Self-Preservation and the Life of the Sensitive
@phillyc What's your perspective on the role of the sensitive in today's world? Are we deluded to consider we have a greater purpose to achieve in the big picture of humanity with this 'gift'?
Thank you for this invitation @montycashmusic. These are some really deep insights you've brought forward, and some honest sharing - it's just you being the honest raw person you are.
I totally identify with a lot of what you have said, in that I also have limited time for bullshit and have incredible sensitivity to other human beings. So yeah it needs to be understood and navigated consciously for us to get a good result in our lives.
It's a step forward in our evolution really, to have highly sensitive people. In a sense we are the forerunners to a highly connected state within the species. It's strange then to have this kind of 'vulnerability' to other people who have no idea who they are and what they are feeling. I guess there is no other way around it, and it teaches us to be immeasurably strong. Our hearts become capable of processing massive amounts of energy and like you say - literally healing people.
That's not to say that it actually means anything to hold space and absorb emotions for people who are completely unconscious. Because it is kind of meaningless, as they will continue the same habits and put themselves back into the same constricted place. Where it makes sense is working with people who are ready to take a step forward into authenticity.
So yes there is a particular way to navigate this that acknowledges anything without needing to get involved in everything. For me that is having a meditative reference point, physical pracitces to ground myself and also going back to the heart focus.
The more I embody this truth about sensitivity, then the more I see that yeah it's a gift and an opportunity. Having also developed the warrior aspect that maintains integrity, boundaries, and wields power - I feel that I am about ready to offer this in a cohesive way to help people integrate themselves a bit more.
Thanks for the very specific words. It is so true we can only assist those that wish to assist themselves and some people give the impression they want to assist themselves but actually only wish to go so far and still be energetically independent.
Despite how much of a jesus complex we have, we need to retain our energetic independence.
I wrote a follow-up article on securing the energy body which covers in part this topic. link
Thanks again,
Monty
