The Scorpion will bite!

A sage was seated beside the Ganges noticed a scorpion that fell in the water. He reached down and tried to rescue it, but the scorpion stung him, which led to him dropping the scorpion in the water. Sometime later, he sees the scorpion thrashing about in the water again.

Once more he reaches down to rescue it and the scorpion stings him again. A bystander, observing all this asks him that why does he keep doing that when he knows that the scorpion is going to sting him come what may.

To this, the sage replied that his karma is to sting me as he is a scorpion and mine is to save him as I am a human being.

I love this story, it is one of the most famous stories in the Indian folklore.

This story is has a very deep-lying message. This is one of the things I am trying to incorporate into my life as well, the art of not judging anyone.

It is difficult accepting people the way they are not forming a bias when we at them.

This guy is young, he must be immature.
This guy is from a certain religion so his beliefs must be incompatible with me.
This guy is not wearing expensive clothes he must be poor or something.

The fact is that every single moment in our life, we are forming conclusions about everyone around us. The moment we embrace the differences we stop giving a shit we focus on things that are actually more important than making conclusions.

The other side of the coin of this concept is realizing the fact that people will judge you and this is the point I want to emphasize and communicate to you dear reader. People will judge you and you will change your opinions and beliefs to fit in.

People tend to alienate others who are not like them. If we need to be successful we need to stop being fearful of the fact that people will judge us. Mediocrity is not an option in any circumstance.

At the end of the day, it's you who matters and no one else. Forgiveness is an art which is difficult to learn. But everything difficult in the world is always worth the reward.

If every human being in the world stops to judge less and forgive more, all the troubles in this world will finish. Practice humility and empathy and love for everyone and anyone, life will be way more happier.
