State of mind (Emotional intelligence)

in #life6 years ago (edited)

Moods can influence how well we do in certain situations, but so can something else: our mental state. What is the difference between a state of mind and a state of mind? Moods are the emotions we feel. Mental state are the thoughts and ideas that accompany that state of mind.

Being able to choose the mood that best suits a situation is one of the skills of emotional intelligence. Choosing the right mood can help you control any situation you find yourself in.

All emotions are acceptable and understandable. But you do not have to cling to feel that way. Realize your mood and then choose to modify it.

To identify a state of mind, stop to think about what you are feeling and why. Put those feelings into words, like, "Oh, I'm very sad right now" or "I feel very lonely." You can say this to yourself silently, out loud, or to another person.

To change your mood, it is necessary to realize what you are thinking and feeling. In this way you can decide if you need to change your mood to one that is more suited to your situation, or if you already have the best possible mood.

Sometimes, just thinking about a particular person is enough to help you feel safe, inspired, strong, or supported.

The next time you feel a strong mood, stop and give it a name. Ask yourself if it is the ideal mood for what you are trying to achieve. Sometimes, even the happiest of moods may not be suitable for a particular situation.

The best mood is that which helps us to be who we really are and gives us the true essence of who we are!
