A very important requirement when it comes down to being successful in your work, is yes to know your area of competences, otherwise it is all a waste of time.

In your area of competence, you are able to put your best effort to productive use, and yield worthwhile results.

At the beginning you allude to bible and its take on how faith can move mountains. Very true. But of course it comes back still to your competence.

If you do work outside your competence, even faith will not help you!
